Life’s A Beach

Posted in Alexander Hult Poker, Poker Blog on July 3rd, 2009

Hi again!

7kg 14-15pounds lighter I will tell you beeing on a diet sucks. Yesterday I went out with my brother, my friend jocke and my girlfriend. Started of with a bearnaise burger on arena bar downtown Karlstad ( a beautiful summer city in sweden) had at least 3 beers. Went to a different place and had a few more. Had a great time but feelt so guilty the next morning. So I went to a burger place had chili fries 2 big burgers and a large coke. Went to the beach had a 3 scoop icecream. Then me and my brother went to the thaimassage place and got our backs killed. Feelt hungry again so went for a pizza. Finished it all off with amcflurry on mcdonalds and a really good new swedish movie called Johan Falk. So much for a diet. Back to work tomorow again I quess.

I have getting some time in on the poker tables aswell, the sun the beach and the fact that I love life right now have made it hard to get serious hours in on the tables, but when I play I have been playing very well and feel sharp. Also been pretty lucky. I have seen some new good players on the nl400 and nl600 tables that I am trying to figure out.

Baba85 is the only player I have not figured out very well yet. I have had 9 winning sessions in a row and it feels like im spot on in almost every hand. Alot of gamblers on the NL400 have given me a week of really good results. Which I really needed since the american express bill arrived from the US trip last month.

see you on the tables

Return From Paradise

Posted in Alexander Hult Poker, Poker Blog on June 22nd, 2009

Finally back in sweden after total 6 weeks in jamiaca, mcallen (Tx), south padre island (Tx), Vegas (Nv), Orlando (Fl) and Miami south beach.
It was a great vacation but it feels great to be back home and get everything back to normal.

I gained alot of weight so it is time to put on the running shoes and get on a diet=)

Some intresting things from the trip-
Vegas-
Hotel- Stay at the Venettian and tell them you are a pokerplayer they will comp you big time and you pay $99 per room and night which must be considered the best value on the strip. For smaller budget the stratosphere is really great as well. Hotels.com can give you as low as $30 per room and night. Make sure to get the players card when you arrive and use it every time you eat, drink, play the slots or check in at the pokertables. They want your action so they reward you big time.
Resturangs- Top of the world is an expensive but wonderful place to eat and enjoy an romantic dinner with a breathtaking view over las vegas.
Value wise any of the buffets are good choices you pay about $20-$25 alcoholic beverage not included.

Nightclubs- Tao at the venettian, XS at encore and the Moon night club at the palms are the hottest nightclubs right now. It can be hard to getin so be there around 10pm. If you wanna get a table you just call from your room and press 0 and ask the operator for the club you wanna go to. Its about $300-$400 per bottle and 3 people can get in per bottle. It absolutly worth it since you pay $20-$40 to get in and $10-$16per drink.

Orlando- Sea world with there new ride the Manta was really good and ride was unbeliveable, almost passed out on the first loop that put you tru 4Gs=)
Also Adventure island universal studios was cool, with the new ride the Hulk.

Miami- Take a boat tour from the harbour and watch the millionaires houses on Star Island and watch the beutiful miami skyline
Eat at Asian de cuba at mandarian hotel on south beach.

This week is going to be a diet full of healthy food, alot of running and working out and of course alot of action online.

Last sunday I was really close winning the 150K Guarantee online but ended up in 6th place winning instead a cool $6450.

I was also in the line for 2 hours for the WSOP Event 5 but it was sold out and I missed out. Read the rest of this entry »
